Lamp years 70 of the brand ArtJL
The 1970s lamps from the ArtJL brand reflect this era: the curves of Art Nouveau reappear there, in bright, tangy colors.
Among the artistic movements of the time, we find Pop Art, Retro pop, Funky, Soul …
Functional and decorative objects, these ArtJL lights can be installed:
- on a coffee table in a living room,
- or on a high table in a dining room,
- on a side table in a hallway,
- on your desk for your working evenings,
- like a night light on a nightstand in your bedroom.
Depending on your needs, you will find table lamps in different sizes in our online store:
A large lamp is able to brightly and dynamically illuminate your interior, even, like a diffuser, to project light effects on the walls.
A small lamp, it can be placed on your bedside table or a coffee table. It can be orientable, or even articulated. Useful if it functions as a reading light.
How is this vintage 70s lamp made?
Designer Jérôme Peyronnet manufactures these vintage design lamps from old obsolete radiators, forgotten in the attic of our grandparents. It gives them a second life. This is called upcycling. This current refers to the action of recovering objects that we no longer have use in order to bring them to life differently. With upcycling, he upgrades these old radiators into beautiful high-end designer lamps. All are unique pieces, numbered and signed.
Every time he turns an old radiator into a light fixture, he spends a lot of time cleaning it, taking it apart, sanding it and painting it. Once in perfect condition, so that it becomes a lamp, he adds a lighting system (socket and bulb), as well as a new electric wire and a switch.
Available colors
So that everyone can find their happiness, several colors are available in the ArtJL store.
Depending on your interior decoration, your best bet is to opt for a lamp in a color already present in your room. Thus, this designer light will allow you to bring a touch of elegance or pep, it depends.
If your decoration is monochrome, choose a bright color instead to bring creativity to your decor.
Here are some available colors:
- White to bring a burst of shine.
- Matte black, anthracite, bronze, gray and brushed aluminum to add elegance.
- Red or blue to energize your interior.
- Orange to bring a touch of creativity.
- Green to invite calm and rest.
- Yellow or beige for a cocooning, warm atmosphere.
- Purple for a bit of delicacy.
Light intensity: what type of lighting for your 70s lamp?
The majority of our ArtJL lights are equipped with LED bulbs, low consumption (from 2 to 20 Watts). Several of them have an Edison LED bulb. With LED lighting, there is no heat release.
For a living room or a bedroom, we advise you to choose a warm lighting, for a soft, warm light, tending towards yellow (from 1000 to 5000 Kelvins).
For an office, for optimal lighting, opt instead to use natural, clear, white light of around 3,300 to 5,000 Kelvins.
